New England School of Music is an educational and cultural organization based in Boston, Massachusetts. The school was founded by Aditya Kalyanpur "Tabla Maestro" in 2008. NESOM is committed to serving students and talented musicians from around the world by providing opportunities to learn, perform, teach and share their talents.
NESOM promotes Indian classical musicians and fosters an appreciation of Indian classical music in the United States. Our drive to unite Indian and American music is achieved through concert tours, performances, classes, lectures, seminars, events, and exhibits. Our certificate program includes a course curriculum in practical theory and periodic examination schedule.
Indian classical music is our passion. Its myriad rhythms, melodies, moods, and timbre are our inspiration. Drawing on the incredible repertoire of this musical heritage and with commitment to nurturing its future, we have established NESOM as a pioneering institution of Indian classical music in the United States.

Aditya Kalyanpur

Tabla Maestro
Aditya Kalyanpur is a talented tabla player and percussionist beyond his years. His rapidly growing career includes working with some of the most prestigious names in Indian classical, jazz, and fusion genres. Kalyanpur was first seen with his Guru Ustad Zakir Hussain for the famous "Wah Taj!" television commercial at the age of 11. Having the honor of being recognized as an "A" Grade Artist of All India Radio, he has given public performances along with his guru. As a young man, Kalyanpur has lived up to the words and reputations of his teachers. His style consists of bold and clear execution of syllables, precision in rhythm, and colossal repertoire of compositions and improvisational techniques making his concerts a sheer joy! www.adityakalyanpur.com
Amit Kavthekar

Young and talented Amit Kavthekar has rhythm running in his veins. At the early age of six, when most the children of his age were playing about, he was being groomed in the art of tabla playing by Maestro Ustad Allarakha. Since 1991, he was fortunate to be taught tabla intricacies by Ustad Zakir Hussain, a master maestro in tabla, whos loyal fan base extends far beyond India and includes music lovers worldwide. Meenal Natu has been pursuing Hindustani Classical Music for the last 20 years. Blessed with a melodious and deeply soulful voice, she has been performing classical as well as semi-classical and devotional compositions with equal intensity. With the blessings of her Gurus, and an inborn affinity towards music she loves to develop and nurture new talents in the diverse field of Indian Classical Vocal Music.
